The small dark shape approaches. The closer it gets, the more the eMs realize that it’s actually quite huge. It’s the largest grey shape they have ever seen! “I am the Great It,” says the big grey shape in a loud voice. The Great It also says that they are small, fragile and vulnerable eMs. The Great It invites them to follow so that they can learn how to build a shell like it has, in order to protect them against the world around them. The eMs are very impressed. They didn't know the world was dangerous before the Great It told them. But now they are very afraid! So they line up obediently to follow the Great It.
